E-CommercePDQ have been tuning motorcycles and selling performance parts since 1984 and we were first asked to help out adding some functions onto their old web site about 6 years ago. For years they have been updating html pages themselves but the time had come for a fully fledged content managed e-commerce site.
Unlike most e-commerce sites each product is only relevant to a particular make, model and year, another hurdle is that suppliers often have different ways on naming the models.
Through careful planning and working closely with the client we produced a system to overcome these issues and create an admin area that was as easy as possible to update.
