Miles is the Managing Director at Devstars and likes to keep a long term view on life. Miles started his career in textile and fashion design with work for companies like Warehouse, Ted Baker and Miss Selfridge. After the slow down in print design at the start of the century he moved over to the entertainment industry, Djing for a while but then helping to set up and run Jagz, a live music venue and nightclub.
The change in the licensing laws, coupled with young people’s lack of ambition when it came to partying, convinced Miles look for new opportunities. Digital was, and still is, a very fast moving, exciting industry to work in. When a long term friend Stuart moved back to the UK, Miles joined him, helping in the setting up a bespoke advertising agency. Working with Coldplay, Mercury Music Prize and Egmont Books, to name a few, was both varied and satisfying.
Miles left to re-join the venue and raise a family but the pull of the digital sector was too strong and he is now fully embedded back into the web. He is glad that he has only one job!
When not working, Miles likes to cycle and has recently set up a local club to help people get into cycling (not just men in lycra!)
