We recently had the pleasure to completely redesign and build the new website for Headmasters. A successful Hair Salon chain based in London and the South East.
Bespoke theme and digital style guide
The site was built ‘mobile-first but utilises beautiful full-screen images to create a great experience for desktop users. Careful consideration was given to the typography, including an update to the font family used throughout the site. Our choice helped communicate a level of quality in service that Headmasters were keen to convey.
Structured data and Google My Business integration.
We helped reduce admin time for the Headmasters team by using structured data within our code. Enabling Google My Business to automatically update salon opening times. Additionally, we wrote a script to monitor and pull-in Google reviews and ratings for all 56 hair salons.

To improve UX whilst increasing sales and bookings. Try to keep as much of the existing content as possible.
To work alongside their marketing team, examine existing user journeys and eliminate friction points. Less friction points were imperative to increase bookings, sign-ups to the VIP club and awareness of offers for treatments and products.
Keeping the site using WordPress retained much of the existing content. We then built a lightweight theme using minimal plugins to optimise loading times.
On the homepage, we reduced load times by almost 60% and delivered an increase in page views of over 20% during the month alone.
We’re extremely happy with the new website and look forward to helping Headmasters grow even further in the future.
